Are house churches biblical? What is the house church movement?

Whenever you come together, each of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification. –I Corinthians 14:26, New King James Version

It’s because home-based, organic church in the Bible is relationship-based, discipleship-driven, & Holy Spirit led. Believers grow together like family.

Home church is the only church movement in the New Testament, and the only church organization model allowing all believers to exercise their gifts in a nurturing environment of faith, deep fellowship, & intentional discipleship.

Church life is not found in “traditional churches” patterned after public meetings held after Christianity’s legalization in 313 AD, the Middle Ages & today.

With natural, Christian fellowship in a private house, kids, teens, and adults, alike, grow together into the image and likeness of God in Christ. And more into the image of God as more unified as the Body of Christ.

Deep Christian fellowship isn’t limited to the Lord’s Supper or the Upper Room; it’s for all Christians, the entire Body of Christ. You. Him. Her. Here. Today.

Throughout the New Testament letters & Acts, believers, church father(s) like Peter & Paul the Apostle, and church leaders like Timothy and Titus met in homes.

This does not mean believers are prohibited from large gatherings dominated by one or more person(s); it simply means that God’s more perfect design for relationship-based Christianity flows in and from the home. One of the many examples in the New Testament is where church father Paul wrote I Cor 14:26.
